About RECS

Engineering Confidence Between Compliance and Creativity

RECS is Regulatory Engineering & Compliance Services — an engineering-led approach to transforming regulatory complexity into clear, workable systems for products entering market.

Complexity belongs in the engineering. Clarity belongs at the interface

Why RECS Exists

Compliance and creativity do not need to be adversaries.

Regulation establishes the requirements within which products enter market. But understanding those requirements should not require producers to surrender creative intent.

RECS exists to reduce unnecessary regulatory uncertainty by translating requirements into clear, workable engineering decisions — allowing regulatory responsibility and commercial creativity to progress together.

Regulatory confidence creates room for informed creative decisions.

How RECS Thinks

Understand before prescribing. Engineer before standardising. Learn before assuming the answer is permanent.

Understand

Establish the product, evidence, regulatory context and intended market before deciding what the solution should be.

Engineer

Translate requirements into workable solutions rather than treating compliance as a checklist applied after the product has been created.

Make it Traceable

Important decisions should remain understandable — what was decided, why it was decided and the information on which that decision was based.

Learn

Project experience should strengthen the engineering system so that useful knowledge is preserved and future work can improve.

Built to Evolve

Every project should leave the engineering system stronger than when it began.

Regulation changes. Products change. Markets change. RECS is designed to preserve useful project knowledge, challenge existing understanding and improve its methods as stronger evidence and experience become available.

OBSERVE → UNDERSTAND → ENGINEER → APPLY → LEARN → IMPROVE

Engineering Principles

The way the work is done matters as much as the answer reached.

Evidence Before Assumption

Regulatory positions should be supported by the strongest available evidence rather than convenience or inherited practice.

Clarity Before Complexity

Complexity should be managed within the engineering system rather than transferred unnecessarily to the producer.

Independent Challenge Where Appropriate

Where the project requires it, independent regulatory assessment provides separate challenge to the engineered position before findings are resolved.

The objective is not to make regulation appear simple. It is to make the path through it understandable.

The Person Behind RECS

The Person Behind RECS

Founder | Regulatory Engineer

Adam founded RECS to apply an engineering approach to regulatory complexity — combining structured regulatory research, practical problem-solving and real-world product and label engineering. He leads RECS projects directly and remains the principal client contact.

Built Beyond the Founder

RECS is designed to outgrow the individual

RECS is being developed as an organisational engineering system rather than a collection of knowledge held by one individual.

Methods, decisions, evidence and project learning are structured so that capability can be preserved, challenged and strengthened as the organisation grows.

The objective is continuity of engineering capability — not dependence on individual memory.

Start a Project

Every project begins by understanding your product, your intended market and what needs to be engineered to get there.

Tell us about your product, market or regulatory challenge. RECS will determine the appropriate next step.
